Resilience: From Trauma to Thriving
In this course, you will learn what trauma is and isn’t, how it effects the brain, who it effects, how it influences the way one lives and interacts with others, and how to build skills and habits of resilience and how to be more trauma-informed day-to-day. By joining this course, you will begin a journey focused on resilience for yourself and/or your loved ones, community, or organization from trauma to thriving!
Course Details
- Why is the content of this course important? 7 out of 10 Americans have faced at least one traumatic situation in their lifetime. Many consider the impact of trauma to be a lifelong challenge. This course was constructed to help people heal, so that the trauma they experienced becomes a part of their story and a part of their past. Trauma can and does heal, given the right tools and support. Trauma can effect an individual, those around us, our organizations, and communities. Therefore, this course not only focuses on an individual path, but seeks to center resilience and a trauma-informed process on multiple levels.
- Goals for the learner:Discover tools to build resilience, understand what trauma is and isn’t, and identify ways to become more trauma informed and resilient in your day-to-day life.
- Type of learner:Anyone who has themselves experienced a trauma, knows someone who has experienced trauma, or wishes to being a more trauma-informed viewpoint to their organization or community.
- Course logistics:8 weekly lessons which will take about 30 – 45 minutes each. In between the weekly lessons, 10-15 mins a day to create a regular practice of building resilience skills.
